Rebranding and repositioning Glasgow Prestwick Airport was crucial to the economic wellbeing of the business as well as the community and the area. We designed an identity that reflected modern Scotland and generated real pride from the airport’s workforce – and won the DBA’s Design Effectiveness Award for 2018.
Discover
The existing 10-year old brand was universally despised, especially by the airport’s own staff. Our priorities were repositioning to attract new investment, unify business areas, and build pride among staff.
Develop
We created an identity around the connection and movement of people, freight and facilities. Borrowing quality and heritage cues from Scottish textiles, the design reflects a professional, ‘boutique’ experience.
Deliver
We implemented the brand across wayfinding, environmental branding, signage, uniforms, website, animations, and advertising. Our rebrand revitalized the airport, delivered new confidence and opened doors.
